Personal History: Hermione is a Muggle-born witch who only found out about her witch status when she received her letter from Hogwarts. Her parents are both Muggles and at times they do struggle with the idea of their daughter being a witch and it wasn’t always easy explaining the wizarding world to them but luckily they were very understanding and never once made Hermione feel like she was somehow different now.

In her Muggle life, Hermione had often gone from being overlooked to suddenly being the centre of attention for “making things happen”. Her parents often thought that maybe there was something mentally wrong with her. When Hermione received the letter from Hogwarts, it immediately clicked and felt right.

Right before Hermione started at Hogwarts, she was a scared Muggle-born with close to no idea of the wizarding world other than what she had heard in fairy tales. In the months preceding her arrival at Hogwarts, Hermione threw herself into books and learned as much as she could. By the time she arrived at Hogwarts, Hermione was one of the most technically knowledgeable person there. There she really found her element and for the first time, felt normal. Not all of her years at Hogwarts were easy but there, she found a home and true friends.

Since finishing at Hogwarts, Hermione went on to an apprenticeship with St. Mungo's and is now a fully certified Healer with a specialty in hexes and curses.

Losses during the war: Like all others, Hermione lost many dear friends during the war: Tonks, Lupin, Fred, just to name a few.
